Vernon Abrasive Saw |

November, 2004 Oceanside, CA The Vernon Abrasive Saw employs abrasive wheels to cut and bevel pipe as it rotates on a bed of turning rolls. Pipe spools are processed with an uncontaminated machine-like finish ready for immediate fit-up at speeds rivaling plasma cutting systems. Pipe can be cut, beveled with or without a land, or grooved for use with sealed couplings. One person performs all cutting and handling operations without the aid of overhead cranes or extra personnel. Diameters from 1” to 24” O.D. and wall thickness’ up to 1-½” are processed without end-for-ending the pipe. Lengths up to 40 feet can be loaded from either direction using conveyor extensions. Abrasive wheels cut all types of materials including carbon steel, black iron, ductile, alloy, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, ceramic, cement-lined, glass-lined, and plastic pipe. The electric grinder assembly reverses direction to prepare weld prep bevels on either end of the spool. Ideal for pipe & supply warehouses, mechanical contracting, and HVAC applications, the Vernon machine represents a totally new, high-production method for fabricating pipe spools. Labor savings of up to 50% result from cutting and material handling operations in a single location with machine-tool quality. |
